CAWPILE Rating System

The new year marks new beginnings, and as of now, I will be using a different rating system for my reviews. The CAWPILE Rating System was created by G at Book Roast and you can watch their video for better comprehension by clicking here.

CAWPILE is an acronym that stands for:

  • Characters
  • Atmosphere/Setting
  • Writing Style
  • Plot
  • Intrigue
  • Logic
  • Enjoyment

This system rating is used for a better, more complex rating. Every book read will be rated on a scale of 1 to 10 in each of these seven categories. The total will then be divided by seven: wherever that result lands on the following scale is the star-rating the book will receive:

CAWPILE ResultratingRecommendation
0-1☆☆☆☆☆Not recommended
1.1-2.2★☆☆☆☆Not recommended
2.3-4.5★★☆☆☆Not recommended
4.6-6.9★★★☆☆Average recommendation
7.0-8.9★★★★☆Recommended
9.0-10★★★★★Highly recommended

I will specify in every review how I rated the book in these seven categories, as well as give you the final star-rating.
