Cozy up, folks: it’s fall!

When I think of fall, I think of pretty warm colors, leaves going red, brown, yellow, I think of hot drinks, cozy blankets, and rain. I love fall! I really love the energy it gives off, a season between two where it is time to come back inside and enjoy the warm while it is beginning to get cold outside. And what better season than autumn to live your cottage-core dream?

I first heard of this term back in Spring, when Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released and Twitter went crazy with the cottage-core aesthetic. I’m not gonna lie: I am a cottage-core player myself. But what’s that barbaric term, you might ask? Well, friends, cottage-core is simply an Internet aesthetic that « celebrates a return to traditional skills and crafts such as foraging, baking, and pottery, and is related to similar nostalgic aesthetic movements such as grandmacore, farmcore, goblincore, and faeriecore« . We’re talking about cabins deep in the woods, vegetable gardens, nature and simplicity, mushrooms, foxes, bears, plaid, warm colors… The essence of fall.

So to celebrate fall, I wanted to do a little something: what better than share with you books that let you live a cottage-core life?
